Attending a church service for the first time can be a daunting experience, and some may be unfamiliar with the kind of formal worship which has characterised much of the church for centuries.  Our variety of worship services aim to provide for both those who are familiar with the traditional format, and others who are more comfortable with a less formal approach.

Main Services every Sunday

8:15am -  Holy Communion - quite, traditional, said service

9:30am -  Holy Communion - sung worship, liturgy, hymns and sermon.
Children have their own groups and rejoin parents for the communion part of the service.

11:00am - Contemporary Worship - a more informal service, contemporary sung worship, sermon and prayer.

Children's groups also run for this service.

Special Services

REMEMBERING LOVED ONES - Loss touches and effects all of us at sometime in our lives. Every year the church holds a service of remembrance and thanksgiving for all who have been bereaved. It is a sensitive, quite and reflective time for all who identify with loss.

Marking All Saints Day - (October / November)

An annual event which takes place in almost every community across the UK to remember those who have sacrificed their lives in World Wars 1 & 2 and to give thanks and pray for all who serve in our armed forces today.

Beginning at the War Memorial in Bedford Road and continuing along the High Street to St. Swithun's Church for a service at 11.30am.

9:45am - Holy Communion - a quiet, traditional, small group service in the side chapel.

Coffee / refreshments after the service.
