Holy Communion
Every Wednesday morning at 10.30, a small group gathers in the Lady Chapel for a midweek service of Holy Communion.
Lasting around 45 minutes, it follows a set order of service and includes Bible readings, a short sermon and prayers.
At the heart of the service is Holy Communion: a simple but profound act of sharing bread and wine together. Christians have done this since the night before Jesus was crucified, when he shared a meal with his friends and asked them to remember him this way. It is an act of remembrance but more than that, a reminder that Jesus is present with us now, in the breaking of bread and in the community gathered around the table. Â
There are no hymns, just a quiet, unhurried space to pause in the middle of the week. Â
2 Corinthians 13:14
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
