Sundays
8.15am
‘Said’ Holy Communion
Our 8.15am Said Holy Communion Service is a quiet, reflective traditional service without hymns, led by our Rector or another Minister.
It lasts for about 45 minutes and there are Bible readings, prayers and a Bible-based talk.
The service follows a set format, and there is a Service Sheet to follow.
Communion is served at the front of the congregation – please let the church warden on duty know if you need communion to be brought to you in your seat.
The Rector or other Minister will be at the back of the church at the end of the service and will be very pleased to talk to you.
9.30am
Parish Eucharist Communion Service
Our 9.30am Parish Eucharist Communion Service contains both traditional hymns and more modern choruses, led by our robed choir, with the words shown on screens around the church. There are prayers, readings and a Bible-based talk by the Rector or another Minister.
The service lasts for about an hour and follows a set format with a Service Sheet to follow.
During the service the congregation is invited to share the peace, which involves shaking hands with other people at the service, if you choose to do so.
Communion is served at the far end of the church by the altar with people invited to walk up row by row – please let the church warden on duty know if you need communion to be brought to you in your seat.
There is a junior church for primary-school-age children, run by leaders who have been DBS checked and who have attended safeguarding training.
Refreshments are served after the service and the Rector or other Minister will stand at the back of the church and be very pleased to talk to you.
11.00am
Contemporary Service
Our 11am contemporary service is a more informal gathering for all ages held in the seats around the piano beside the Lady Chapel.
This service lasts for about 45 minutes and is a more interactive form of worship with modern choruses. The Rector or Minister will give a short Bible-based talk.
Communion is not served at this service.
You are welcome to chat with the Rector or Minister at the end of this service.
10.00am
‘Together @ Ten’ Service
This service is held on the first Sunday of every month.
The 8.15am service is still held but the 9.30am and the 11am services are combined for this 10am service.
It’s a combination of both the traditional and the contemporary with hymns and modern worship songs.
